154 ALA
As with any organization, learning about ALA Unit 154 begins with activity; your participation at meetings, events, or supporting our mission as defined by National ALA. According to the ALA Vision statement pulled from our Unit Guide Book, we are to “support the American Legion while becoming the premier service organization and foundation of every community providing support for our veterans, our military, and their families by shaping a positive future in an atmosphere of fellowship, patriotism, peace and security.”

BECOMING INVOLVED
Begin by speaking with another 154 Auxiliary member, reading the monthly newsletter, or attending our Auxiliary meetings which are held the 1st Wednesday of the month (September through June) from 7-8p in a meeting room at our location. After attending, decide for yourself where your involvement might be: committee work, volunteer for an event, attend meetings, or become an Auxiliary officer. Dip your toes in the water by starting slow and learning what opportunities exist to be of service to our veterans.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE 2024-2025
Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful summer. It's time once again to start holding our monthly meetings. The Auxiliary and the Legion hold their meetings the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm. These meetings are open to all Auxiliary members to attend. I’m looking forward to seeing you all there.

Just a reminder; we have new Officers this year. President is Jeanne Volkers 616-856-8889 and Vice President is Ronni Chappell. If you need anything please let me know. I hope that you will welcome the new Officers.

We are still collecting school supplies for Parkview Elementary School.

If you have Volunteer hours, please let Eleanor Sherrington know. Volunteer hours are unpaid and voluntary time spent doing something to benefit others or the environment.

Thank you, All!
