DO YOU REMEMBER?
Perhaps your unit was under fire, or you were scared. You didn't know whether you would ever get home again, see your family, or hold your loved ones in your arms. And the only thing that you could count on in that instant was your buddy. And you knew he/she was counting on you, too.
Perhaps you were one of the lucky ones who never saw combat. Instead, you lived the tediousness of garrison life, or the interminable hurry up and wait. Life was challenging when faced with the inane make-work projects you were ordered to do. However, despite it all your buddy was always there beside you, making wise-cracks, doing whatever it took to help you make it though each day, and maybe even covering for you on occasion.
YOUR BUDDY STILL NEEDS YOU!!!
Maybe your buddy ended up at a VA hospital or Veteran's home with his/her war wounds and/or time taking a toll on their body. Maybe your buddy is a young veteran, just discharged from service in various parts of the world and is finding it difficult to land a civilian job. Or, maybe your buddy is just an ordinary guy or gal like yourself, wanting to share comradeship and stories (sometimes) with someone who was in a similar situation and understands the pain and sacrifices that all veterans make for our country.
The American Legion is the place for veterans, their buddies, family members, and friends to come for help and support. Founded in 1918, it is the largest veteran's organization in the United States with over 3 million members.
At the American Legion, we are veterans just like you. We care about America, our fellow veterans, our families, and our children. As a member of our Post, we continue to serve our God, our Country, and our Community. And now more than ever--the American Legion and Post 154 needs you.
Our Legionnaires participate in many community activities such as: parades, memorials, and dedications. We have a funeral honor guard detail ready, willing and able at the family's request. Our funeral detail is available to all veterans. When requested, we are also available to help other veteran organizations with their memorials.
We sponsor local students to participate in Boy's State, and sponsor scholarships to better educate our children.

AMERICA NEEDS YOU - AND SO DOES POST 154. PLEASE JOIN NOW!
